Glow From Head to Toe with the Krazy Essentials Dry Body Oil

My New Years Resolution this year was to glow from head to toe, I think I’ve been doing quite well at it thanks to the Krazy Essentials Dry Body Oil. I was already successful with the face highlight, but I needed something more, you know? My pressed highlight powders don’t make me smell dang near edible, moisturize my skin, AND make me glow. This body oil was the *more* I’ve been looking for.

I was introduced to the Krazy Essentials line when it was still super young and only providing bomb lip products as Lip Krazy. They recently rebranded and now provide a wide array of products; including candles, a body butter, a rose facial spray and more. This dry body oil is one of their newbies and it is truly a gamechanger in the affordable, luxurious body care world. Let’s not waste any more time and get right into my full review of it!

The Ingredients:

Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Avocado Oil, Cyclomethicone, Optiphen, Fragrance, and Mica (optional).

Yes, that’s really it. I love a simple ingredient list! Everything you need, none of the extra additives and fillers you don’t need. Let’s explore each of these ingredients and what they do.

Sweet Almond Oil: Contains vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant that helps fight free radicals and vitamin A, which you probably know as retinol that helps with increasing your skin’s cell turnover rate. Also contains fatty acids which help your skin retain moisture and repair your skin’s moisture barrier/acid mantle.

Sunflower Oil: Helps your body fight free radicals because of its high vitamin E content. Rich in linoleic acid (great if you have body acne).

Vitamin E Oil: Great antioxidant for fighting free radical damage and reducing inflammation.

Avocado Oil: Amazing for dry skin and eczema because of its high oleic acid content, antioxidants, and fatty acids that moisturize and soothe inflamed skin.

Cyclomethicone: A silicone with a large molecule size that prevents this ingredient from entering the pores which helps provide touchable smoothness and moisture.

Optiphen: A preservative that is made of phenoxyethanol, sorbic acid, and caprylyl glycol (a known humectant which hydrates the skin).

Fragrance and Mica are optional. Mica will give your product pigment (I chose the gold option because I want to glow). You don’t have to choose any, but it will not irritate your skin if you do. The only side effect is excessive glowing.

Krazy Essentials’ Claims:

Krazy Essentials’ dry body oil nourish, moisturize and softens the skin without a super greasy feel.

My Experience:

Remember the New Years Resolution I told you guys I had? This oil is the sole reason I am able to fulfill that resolution. Aside from it helping me glow, my skin feels incredibly smooth after using it and with the scent I purchased, Island Breeze, I smell like a bomb fruit salad. The best part is that the scent lasts for HOURS. I tested it and it lasted for exactly 6 hours on me before I noticed it started slightly fading. If you like fruity scents, you’ll absolutely love this. For someone with severe eczema, this fragrance does not irritate my skin at all (Disclaimer: my experience with no irritation from this may not be yours).

Many oils tend to leave your skin feeling greasy and look like you’re fresh off the frying pan. There’s a difference between looking greasy and glowy. I prefer the latter and that’s exactly what this oil will make you look like. I know I know, grease looks quite edible and who doesn’t want to look edible?! Listen, I promise you grease only looks good on *actual* food. Not on your body. Let’s stick to glowy not greasy in 2018!

Here’s how it looks on my arm! Imagine glowing like this on your entire body.
