The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Protect Lotion With SPF 30

Summer is here and who doesn’t want a bright and even complexion?! Winter probably dulled your skin with the harsh winds but now let’s work on making it vibrant again.

While you may be thinking that this is just another product claiming to brighten your skin without *actually* doing that, it’s not. I have been using The Body Shop Glow-Protect Lotion with SPF 30 for 4 months now and have seen nothing but amazing results. It instantly gives my skin a healthy glow and makes it feel incredibly smooth.

The Body Shop’s Claim:

For dull, tired, grumpy skin

SPF30 with UVA and UVB protection

Hydrates and helps protects skin

Gives skin a brighter, more radiant appearance

Softens and smooths

My Experience:

The minute you rub this lotion into your skin, it instantly looks brighter. That brightness stayed for the duration of the day and even underneath makeup my skin looked healthy and glowy. If you are concerned about your skin looking too glowy and worried that this might be mistaken for oiliness, this product is not for you. I personally like the super healthy, plump, and glowing look but I understand not everyone likes it, which is perfectly fine!

My skin felt rejuvenated and it appeared to be, too. I will say the one thing I am not too happy about is that this product makes me sweat…a lot more than usual. I already sweat very easily and for some reason when I applied this on my skin, I instantly started sweating. When I started sweating, it left a white cast on my face that eventually disappeared after my skin dried. This white cast luckily did not show up in my makeup flashback test.

It does indeed live up to all it’s claims! I would give it a 9/10, the 1 point is simply because how quickly it made me sweat. But many sunscreens are known to do this so I was not too surprised. Overall it was worth the sweat as it did provide me with sun protection and did brighten my skin.
